UK indie television content distributor Cineflix Rights has acquired a blue-chip documentary about the fairytale wedding between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette from U.S. prodco Critical Content.
JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding(working title; 1 x 120 minutes) starts with the top-secret wedding ceremony of Kennedy to Bessette on Cumberland Island, Georgia in 1996. Never-before-seen footage provides an insider’s look at everything from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and intimate reception.
Celebrity wedding guests, friends and family offer new commentary on the lives of one of America’s most famous and private couples who tragically died in a plane crash in 1999.
The documentary was originally made by Critical Content for Discovery-owned TLC in the U.S.
The deal to acquire JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette: A Camelot Wedding was brokered by Cineflix’s Giuliana Benvenuto, manager of acquisitions for North America.
