Inside Therapy is produced by Twenty Twenty TV

LONDON TV SCREENINGS: Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITP) is showcasing a slate of unscripted formats “that capture real people in extraordinary situations” at the London TV Screenings next week, including UK pubcaster the BBC’s Inside Therapy.

Produced by Twenty Twenty TV, Inside Therapy takes viewers inside real therapy sessions, following specialist therapists as they work with patients struggling with phobias, fear, anxiety, anger and grief.

Also from Twenty Twenty is First Dates Beach Club, which is produced for Channel 4 in the UK and is a beachside-set spin-off to dating series First Dates.

The new slate marks the first time WBITP is shopping formats from Discovery’s channels, following the Warner Bros/Discovery merger in 2022.

Also in the dating space is MILF Manor, produced by Spun Gold for TLC. Set in a luxurious villa, a group of women looking for romance with younger men are partnered up with each other’s sons.

Another villa-based dating show is True Love, in which couples must navigate romance, trust and temptation, with lie detectors revealing their true feelings in high-stakes ‘truth ceremonies.’ The format is produced by Dare Television for Discovery+ in Sweden.

Elsewhere on WBITP’s London TV Screenings unscripted formats slate is Foul Play, produced by Grandma’s House Entertainment, Bad Woods Entertainment and 4.4.Forty Media for TBS in the US. The prank show sees sports stars attempt to pull a successful prank on their famous friends and is exec produced by The Impractical Jokers.

In the food space is Last Bite Hotel, which comes from Butternut Media for Food Network. The cooking competition invites chefs to a secluded retreat where each contestant can only bring 13 ingredients for their entire stay.

Another culinary format for Food Network is Outchef’d, produced by Frank, in which confident home cooks, believing they’re auditioning to be on a show, are thrown into a cook-off with an elite professional chef.

From Critical Content for Discovery in the US is Survive the Raft, in which a diverse group of strangers sets off on a raft in open water, where they must live and collaborate to complete physical and mental challenges, building a shared prize pot.

Finally, from Half Yard Productions for TLC is long-running format Say Yes to the Dress, which takes viewers inside boutiques where brides search for their perfect wedding dress.

“Unscripted entertainment remains a driving force for broadcasters and streamers,” said André Renaud, WBITVP’s global VP of format and finished sales, adding that the slate “delivers bold, adaptable formats with broad audience appeal.”

The former BBC Studios exec added: “With the addition of Discovery formats for the first time, we’re expanding our portfolio even further to bring the best of our brands to the world. We’re proud to work with leading producers to bring these ideas to market, and confident buyers will find compelling opportunities.”
